Top 5 Ways to have a Fulfilling 2012

 As you read this post, we would probably be in the second month of 2012. What has happened to your Goals? I mean those New Year resolutions you set? I just hope it has not vanished into thin airs and that you are holding strong those dreams. So, if I was supposed to give you some advice for the year 2012,what would it be?

In this post, I share with you top five 5 ways to have a fulfilling 2012, remember time flies and you need to fly with it if you want to have a wonderful 2012. Most people allow the years to pass by without taking stocks of the year, would you allow this year to also pass by? What should you do if you are looking forward to a fulfilling 2012? These are some of  the paths you can take to a fulfilling year:

• Live Below your Means

I have notice overtime that, there is always the temptation of forsaking the future for instant gratification. We all want to own the latest technology gadget; I do; especially if you consider it an asset. We love to treat ourselves to an expensive night on the town, or take out a loan for the flashy car we can’t afford. It might feel great at the time but rash spending hurts a lot later on.

Enjoy life’s simple pleasures and save as much as you can. Expensive things don’t create lasting happiness and security. Careful spending will bring you greater leisure and enjoyment in the long run. If I have one advice for you in 2012 it would be this: Spend money on only what you would need and trash all expenses as gratifications that goes unsatisfied.

• Educate Yourself

The very moment we stop learning we stop living. To be happy in the world, we need continuous growth. The best way to grow is lifelong education. This doesn’t mean you need to pursue a doctorate or spend another 2 years studying for a master’s degree. Real education is self education and it means learning new things that takes you out of your comfort zone. It is your ability to seek for fresh ideas and apply those ideas in your everyday living. Education builds over time. It might feel like the bits of wisdom you acquire don’t mean much, but over the years they add up to form a wiser, kinder, more interesting person. A great philosopher once said, the best educated people are those who are always learning, always absorbing new things at every given opportunity.

• Work towards Your Dream

To have a more fulfilling 2012, find out what you would love to do and work towards it. Even if your life isn’t perfect, you can always build towards a goal you’re passionate about. It just takes one piece of block at a time to complete a magnificent house. Start now, and with what you have.All traffic lights cannot turn green. Keep moving and if the light turns red,stop,take stock and keep moving. If you aren’t building towards something, you’re probably stagnating. We can’t control everything about our lives, but working towards a goal gives us something positive to focus on and lays the foundation for future success. No matter what your passion is, get out there and start doing something. As Lao Tzu said, even a journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step.

• Build Lasting Relationship

No man is an island. Sometimes you need someone to show you the way. If you want to experience a wonderful life at the end of 2012, start building and maintain lasting relationship. Develop a list of professionals you would love to meet and start taking steps to network with them. You are what you were five years ago, expect for the people you meet and the books you read. People have strong ability to accelerate our progress in life, find them out and build lasting relationship with them.

• Take time off and Pray

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood”, the Bible says. Prayer is the key to unlock the unknown and the light that shines on our path. When we pray, we acknowledge our limitation and invite the Supreme Being to take charge.It is our soul pouring out its needs, expectations and uncertainty to the Creator. God know what you need. Ask and you shall Receive.Seek and you Shall Find.Knock and the door would be opened on to you. For anyone who asked Receives (MATTHEW 7:7-8)

 What Next?

Don’t live your life to chance, you are the architect of your life. Draw out what you want to achieve before the year end and start moving. Life is too short to be wasted on unproductive ventures.

The Purpose Discovering Exercise

Welcome,I have now seen your  enthusiasm in  discovering and fulfilling your life on Earth.The truth is that many a people exit the planet Earth without fulfilling their purpose on Earth and many are walking on the planet  Earth without or fulfilling someone else purpose.

In this article ,we would learn some few proven techniques in discovering our purpose on this Earth and I must  let you know that the techniques are not mine, how I wish they were!. It has been culled from Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven life book. Thank you Rick, for letting us answer the most important question in life- Why Am I Here on Earth.

Discovering the Purpose

In discovering the purpose , we would take a critical look at the words SHAPE. This are initials of words put together to assist in the easy identification of one’s purpose, on a lighter note , the SHAPE of a thing reveals what the thing  can be used for , a knife is shaped  in such a way that as soon as you see it , you may think it can be use to cut, a pen has been shaped to be used in writing.

Likewise, you been shaped for a function .The words SHAPE stands for Spirituality, Heart, Ability,Passion and Experience. Now that you know what the means lets us see how this words would help us discover our purpose on  Earth. Are you ready?

S-Spirituality

It is only the Creator that know about His creation, Ask God, spend some time in prayer talking to your Maker.If you are a ‘ Church Person’ take a look at what you engage yourself with in church.Are you a pew warmer in church?, if you are you may never discover the purpose.Even if you are, resolve in your mind not to.Take a look at some activities in the church  that catches your attention and  join such activities it may be that it is where God wants you to do and be- it is your ministry. Many a time we confuse ministry to be for Pastors or religiously inclined individuals. I sing in my local church, and that is my ministry because I find great fulfillment and satisfaction in ministering in song to people.Find out what God wants you to do in the body of believers He has placed you in and you would find your purpose on Earth.Think is a joke?  Haven’t you read or heard  of ministers of the gospel who have abandoned prestigious careers to preach the gospel. You may think ,they are ‘mad”, no they are not –this is what becomes of anyone who discovers his purpose.

H-Heart

Our heart can be a help in discovering our purpose on Earth. Let me ask you a question – What causes your heart to beat faster or to skip a beat?

Growing up I realize that  whenever someone talks about entrepreneurship or being his own boss,and personal finance  my attention is quickly drawn to that,I  gave that a serious thought till I discovered may be that is what God wants me to be, no wonder  am working hard to start my own personal finance consultancy. Think am kidding, wait and see.

I know a friend who is so crazy about the welfare of women and kids, any time she see a women in need or a child in distress her heart quickly runs to the rescue. I one day invited her to church and fortunately a young lady preached in church,and she has been talking about such experience ,every time she comes to my church.I discuss with her that ,that is where God wants her to be- to empower ladies in every aspect of their life and to raise Godly women for our Generation.What causes your heart to skip a beat,what words draw your attention when you walk on the street?. Be careful about such things , you may be discovering the  purpose of your life

A-Ability

Every individual has something he or she can do without much struggle, that is the ability. You were endowed   with some special ability that would enhance the fulfillment of your purpose if only you can use it effectively.I have the ability to write and I am using that ability to help enhance your life ,others have the ability to talk and their services are always need as MC during special occasions. What can you do naturally without much struggle-read, sing , encourage, entertain, persuade ,draw or cook? Find it out and work developing that ability .it is another way of discovering your purpose on earth an transforming the life of others.

P-Passion

It is passion that drives excellence; there is no one on Earth who has achieved something worth having who does not have passion. For me, passion is your purpose in action. I am passionate about unlocking the potentials in individuals to become better than their current level and that gives me Purpose. I am passionate about music and I can sing my heart out on to God, no wonder   I am working hard on  my musical career, my passion drives me ,it is my power in action.You may be passionate about computers, it is not by chance,God placed it in you to help fulfill your purpose on this earth.Others are passionate about clothing and they are great clothing designers in the world. Gucci is a good designer because he is passionate about making better clothing for others. What are you passionate about- cars,animals? May be that is what you were made for.Find out what you love to do and do it with  all your strength because it is  what God created you for.

E- Experience

Some say experience is the best teacher, that is true but for me it is more than a teacher.It is what you do with what you go through. Life pushes all of us around and it is the push that life gives us that helps us to discover our purpose on this Earth. You have some experience in every aspect of your life ,some may be enjoyable and some very painful you do not  want to imagine. It is through these experiences that helps shape our purpose on Earth. Experience come from every angle, from the family ,school,and work place.Look at what you are going through in life no matter how painful and draw out your purpose from it. It is what have been through in just these few years of existence that has empowered me to develop myself in the area of finance and personal development.You may have enjoyed every unpleasant upbringing but it is  through those experience that God would shape you and prepare you to liberate people in similar situation ,do not cry over it- learn from this. If you are struggling with finance God wants to use that to teach you how to harness money so you can empower people to get out of Poverty. Do you know, get it.

Have you ever asked yourself such question? Or maybe you have heard someone make such remarks. Life, should be lived with a purpose, you are no accidents.You were created by God to discover and fulfill your purpose on the planet called Earth.You therefore should leave a life driven by purpose.

Why Am I Here On Earth?

Friend,it doesn’t matter how you think you arrived here on this planet or under whose

direction — the fact remains that each of us have specific talents and gifts that are uniquely

coded within our own DNA.

As you go through life, you don’t just pick up things you like doing by chance,you just don’t know how to sing by chance, you are not a great artist by chance,nor is it by chance you are a very good mathematician or a good orator.

You discover what you’re good at because you were meant to discover it, just as you

were meant to figure out what your fingers do, and how your elbows work. Your unique

gifts are hard-wired into your system and it’s from these specific talents and gifts that you’re able to define and determine your definite purpose- the reason why you’re here.
If you fail to determine your definite purpose, everything else is wrong. It’s like

working with a broken compass — you may think you’re going North, but you’re not.

You’re not sure which direction you’re heading, so, you’re just wandering aimlessly.

Without your purpose identified firmly in your mind, you will wander through

life, never quite feeling that you’re “ in the flow.”

How then do I Discover this Purpose?

Ask God, it is only the manufacturer of a thing that would be able to tell you it’s function.

A car does not know why it was made nor knows how it operates,only the manufacturer of the car can tell you what it was made for.You are Gods creation and only the creator can tell you why he created you.When that is discovered you would begin to function in the way the Creator created you.I would like you in your solemn moment to ask God ,why He brought you here on this Earth so you can function likewise.
